💴 Rent Payment Timeline and Late Fee
Summary:
This article explains when rent must be paid each month and how late fees are applied if payment is delayed. Please make sure to pay on time to avoid extra charges or contract issues.
🗓️ Rent Payment Period
Rent payments are due from the 1st to the 5th of every month.
You can make your payment in cash (Japanese yen) at the Saki Corporation office or through GI Bill Pay if you are registered for automatic allotment.
Payment Methods:
💵 Cash at Saki Corporation office
🧾 GI Bill Pay (automatic rent deduction for U.S. military personnel)
💡 Tip: We recommend paying between the 1st–3rd to avoid last-minute delays or public holidays that may affect payment timing.
⚠️ Late Payment Policy
If rent is not received by the 5th of the month, a daily late fee will be applied starting from the 6th.
The late fee increases depending on how many days have passed since the due date.
🔹 From the 6th to the 20th
A ¥300 late fee will be added per day starting from the 6th of the month.
Example:
If rent is paid on the 10th → ¥300 × 5 days = ¥1,500 late fee
🔹 From the 21st of the Month Onward
If rent remains unpaid 15 days after the 5th (starting on the 21st), the late fee will increase to ¥1,000 per day until payment is made.
Example:
If rent is paid on the 25th →
Days 6–20: ¥300 × 15 days = ¥4,500
Days 21–25: ¥1,000 × 5 days = ¥5,000
➡ Total Late Fee = ¥9,500
🚫 Important Reminders
Rent must be paid every month by the 5th, regardless of weekends or holidays.
Please contact us immediately if you expect any delay or issue with your payment.
Continued non-payment may result in contract termination or legal action in serious cases.
💡 Recommendation:
If you are often away for travel or deployment, consider using GI Bill Pay for automatic rent payments and peace of mind.
