🐾 Pet Policy and Permission Procedure
Summary:
Some Saki Corporation properties allow pets, while others do not.
Before bringing any pet (including visiting pets) into your property, you must first obtain approval and complete the required procedure.
This article explains the step-by-step process, pet fee, and important conditions for keeping pets.
🏠 1. Pet-Friendly vs. Non-Pet-Friendly Properties
Each property’s pet policy is determined by the property owner.
Pet-friendly properties 🐶🐱 — Tenants may keep pets after approval and completing the full procedure.
Non-pet properties 🚫 — No pets are allowed inside the unit or on the premises at any time.
⚠️ Important: Pet ownership or even short-term stays by pets (such as visiting friends with animals) require prior approval from Saki Corporation and the property owner.
📞 2. Step-by-Step Permission Procedure
Before purchasing or bringing any pet into your home, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Contact Saki Corporation
Before bringing any pet, please contact our office first.
We will confirm whether your property allows pets and seek approval from the property owner.
📧 Email: housing@saki-corp.jp
Step 2: Owner Approval
We will contact the property owner for permission.
Please do not bring your pet into the property until official approval is confirmed by our office.
💡 Tip: Approval depends on the type, size, and number of pets you wish to keep.
Step 3: Visit Our Office to Complete the Process
Once the owner grants approval, please visit our office to complete the following:
Pay the Pet Fee: ¥50,000 per pet (one-time, non-refundable)
Sign the Pet Agreement: This outlines your responsibilities, cleaning obligations, and property rules for pet ownership.
After completing these two steps, you will receive authorization to bring your pet inside the property.
🐕 3. Type and Number of Pets
The type and number of pets permitted depend on the owner’s approval.
Usually, small to medium-sized dogs or cats are allowed.
Fighting breeds or aggressive dogs (such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, etc.) are strictly prohibited.
💡 Always confirm your pet’s breed and number with our office before purchasing or bringing them into your unit.
💰 4. Pet Fee Details
| Item | Amount | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Pet Fee | ¥50,000 per pet | One-time, non-refundable |
| Pet Agreement | Required | Must be signed before bringing pets |
| Additional Pets | Requires new approval | Additional fee per pet applies |
🧰 5. Pet Damage Responsibility
If any damage, stains, or odor are caused by your pet — including to flooring, doors, walls, or garden areas —
the tenant is fully responsible for the cost of repairs and professional cleaning.
⚠️ These costs will be charged as actual repair expenses.
🚫 6. Visiting Pets and Temporary Stays
If a friend, family member, or guest brings a pet into your property,
the same approval and fee procedure must be followed before the animal enters the premises.
⚠️ Unapproved visiting pets are considered the same as unauthorized pets under your lease.
⚠️ 7. Violation and Penalty
If a pet is found inside a property without approval:
A penalty fee will be charged according to the clauses in your lease, and
The owner may request termination of your lease in severe cases.
🚫 Bringing pets without permission is a serious contract violation and may affect your future housing eligibility.
